The Autoporn View
It's great to see McLaren taking the fight to the mighty Ferrari 458 Italia but the problem with small production runs is that you have to rely on outsourcing many of the parts you need. Then, once you start putting them all together your bound to have problems with trying to get them to all talk to one another in harmony.
Would we buy one?
Give it a while longer until they get all the problems sorted.
Problems at McLaren

Graham B You wait years to see, feel and taste the new McLaren and then after you take delivery you start getting problems.
Problems like, warning lights going off for no reason, power failures etc. As you would expect McLaren are pretty good about this and have worked out a software upgrade to sort the glitches out. But don't expect it to be a 5 minute job, you'll have to wait up to three days to get it fixed. Ouch!
Ron Dennis took it upon himself to write to ever owner apologising and even offering them a free coffee table book (obviously to read while waiting for the upgrade)
The letter may become a collectors item because it's not often big Ron gets it wrong!
